Cycling abroad from Paris to London combines all the best that a multi-day bicycle touring trip can offer. Some people say that France is the most beautiful and enjoyable country to visit, and the UK does not fall far behind (if at all). It is not only their cities and countryside beauty; The cycling routes are well kept, preserved, and well marked. The food is great (yes, modern English food is not just fish and chips). This area of the globe is full of history and culture, ancient and modern, and the people you are going to meet during your ride are extremely nice and friendly. In short, a great adventure is waiting for you if you choose this self-guided, multi-day touring trip from Paris to London.
Our Cycling Abroad From Paris to London in Brief
You will start your journey from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, and finish at Heathrow Airport near London. Note: If you do not have the time for this complete cycling trip, you can ride only in France, from Paris to Cherbourg, and take the train back to Paris.
You will travel crossing the beautiful French countryside, along the courved La Saine River, joining from time to time La Seine à Vélo. You will visiting the village of Auvers-sur-Oise, where Vincent van Gogh made his last paintings, and where he died, and the vilage Giverny, where you can visit Claude Monet’s beautiful Gardens.
Cycling along the Saine river, and southe of the city of Rouen, you will reach the beautiful city of Honfleur, situated on the cost of the Atlantic Ocean. From there you will ride along the beaches of Normandy, visiting several attractions, such as the American Cemetery and Memorial, and Omaha Beach, one of the landing beachs in WW2.
After 7 or 8 riding days (depands on your specific plan) you will arrive the coastal city of Cherbourg. You will take the ferry to Portsmouth in England. There you will continue riding for two more days, cycling up and down along the English beautiful countryside, directrly to your final destination – Heathrow Airport near London.

Paris to London Trip Details – Day by Day
Day 1
On the first day we meet at noontime at CDG airport. We unpack our bicycles and start our warmup riding to our first hotel, about 20Km north of Paris city center, for a good night’s sleep.
Other option: ride to Domaine du Plessis – 20 Km weat of CDG

Day 2
Start your day visiting the village of Auvers-sur-Oise, where Vincent van Gogh made his last paintings, and where he died. Than we continue our ride north of Pairs, along paved and unpaved bicycle roads. Our final destination is Giverny.

Day 3
We start our day by visiting Claude Monet’s beautiful Gardens in the village of Giverny. Than we continue our ride along the Saine River. You will spend the night near Romilly-Sur-Andelle, just on the La-Andelle stream, 2 Km north of the Saine River.

Day 4
We continue riding along the Seine River, in some of it’s parts we are riding along La Seine à Vélo. Most of our ride today is south of the city of Rouen.

Day 5
This is the last day of riding along the Saine River. After visiting the charming and famous city of Honfleur, We finally reach our hotel, lays near the Atlantic ocean.

Day 6
On this day, we begin our 4 days riding along the beaches of Normandy. We spend the night near the village of Ver-sur-Mer.

Day 7
On this day we visit several places related to WW2, such as the Normandy American Cemetery.

Day 8
On this day we continue visiting some more places related to WW2, as well as the beautiful Normandy countryside.

Day 9
This is our last day in France. We ride to Cherbourg. Here you have two options: One is to catch the train back to Paris, for your flight back home.
The other, more challenging option is, after visiting the port, to board a 9 hours Ferry to the other side of the canal. If you choose this option, you will arrive at the port of Portsmouth around 6 in the morning.

After a breakfast at a local restaurant we start a relatively easy day on the English beautiful countryside, spending the night near Bordon.
